Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), UNH Chapter

The chapter purpose is to help accounting and finance enrich their studies and networking at the university of New Haven through various professional and social activities.

University of New Haven chapter was established in the  fall of 2015 with initial 24 members. The number of members grew to 41 in the Spring of 2016, just in a few months . The chapter Faculty advisor is Dr. Alireza Daneshfar.

 

The first BAP chapter’s officers were:

Vice/President: Brittany Jozaitis
Vice-President of Special Affairs/Activities: Abbey Girasuolo
Candidate Coordinator: Roya Hosseinpanah
Treasurer: Tyler Kocher
Reporter: Rachel Menna

UNH BAP chapter holds annual induction ceremony in spring of every year. The first member recognition ceremony was held on April 23rd, 2016.

 

BAP National Honor Society

The purposes of Beta Alpha Psi is to recognize outstanding academic achievements in the field of accounting, finance, and information systems, promote the study and practice of professional fields related to these disciplines, provide opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing financial professionals and encourage a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibilities.

Vision

Beta Alpha Psi will shape the financial and business information professions by developing members into ethical, professional, and confident leaders.

Mission

The mission of Beta Alpha Psi, the premier international honor and service organization for financial and business information students and professionals, is to inspire and support excellence by encouraging the study and practice of accountancy, finance, and information systems; providing opportunities for service, professional development, and interaction among members and financial professionals; and fostering lifelong ethical, social, and public responsibilities.
