There are two type of student employment funding:

Students are awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) based on financial need and availability of funds. These positions are paid through federal funding and do not impact your student budget. If you are interested in this option, please contact the SEO for further details. There will be approximately 200 students awarded Federal Work Study for the upcoming academic year.
NON-FEDERAL WORK STUDY (NFWS)
These positions are funded by your department’s budget (excluding grants). There will be many students who are not eligible for Federal Work Study looking for employment opportunities. If you are interested in this option, but unaware of your student employee budget, feel free to contact Deborah Flonc or Patricia Kennedy in the Budget Office to find out your budget allocation for Non-Federal Work Study student employment.
