D.R.E.A.M Ambassador Application

“Dear Potential Applicants for the D.R.E.A.M. Ambassador Position,

To start off this letter, we would like to congratulate you on taking this first step to becoming a D.R.E.A.M. Ambassador. Being an ambassador is a very rewarding, self-exploring volunteer leadership position, and one that is what you make of it. This coming year is one of many great opportunities to help further create and establish a culture within the Accessibility Resources Center for students to support their first-year transition into our university.

We want to stress that applying to be a D.R.E.A.M. Ambassador is not just about having it on your resume, wearing an Ambassador shirt, and having a title. Being a D.R.E.A.M. Ambassador is a chance for you to demonstrate your passion and beliefs to take the D.R.E.A.M. Orientation to new heights. Respect for your friends, fellow Ambassadors, peers, and families is a key value in the role of a D.R.E.A.M. Ambassador. Being an Ambassador is an opportunity to use this leadership role to step out of your comfort zone and connect with D.R.E.A.M. students.

A term as a D.R.E.A.M. Ambassador is a full year’s commitment. You will be given ample freedom to strive towards your own individual goals and aspirations while remaining in line with the Ambassador’s vision and the program’s best interest. You will be expected to act as a role model for the students surrounding you.

We are here to build a culture that is fit for us and made by us. We promise you that if you put in the work, the results will show.

Best of luck!”

 –  A fellow D.R.E.A.M. Ambassador
